One night...

... three friends, semi-sober, Josh, Jeremy and Shahab, talked about opening a restaurant that they would enjoy going to. They imagined a place that would be casual, inviting and warm with great food and service. Even more importantly, they envisioned a place that would feel like home, where they could take their family and friends (including their own children, at least sometimes).

Now, with their dream coming true, the goal is to pass this same welcoming feeling onto their guests.

Owner/Operator Bio - Jeremy Hummer

Jeremy has spent more than half his life in the restaurant business, starting as a bus boy and working his way up the ranks to eventually become an owner.  Before establishing his first restaurant, he took a 6 year hiatus from the industry to import wines from around the world, selling them through distributors to restaurants and retail stores.  In that time he traveled throughout Europe, learning not only facts behind the wines but meeting and spending time with all the people who create them.  He adopted the mantra 'great wine is great wine- not only for the juice in the bottle but the company and atmosphere in which it is shared.'  Through Nest Cafe - Bethesda he embodies those experiences in the wineries and the wonderful people he met who spend their lifetime making wine they are proud to drink with friends.
